Jami Mak
THERAPIST IN huntsville and scottsboro // LICSW
Jami believes in starting where the client is. She strives to create a safe place where healing and growth can occur. She believes everyone is worthy of compassion and finds that when people feel delighted in and or cared for, walls built up from pain and challenges tend to come down. She firmly believes that humor and laughter are signs of healing, and it brings her joy to see clients start to open up that part of themselves. People begin to see the light more clearly when they walk through the darkness.
Jami enjoys working with clients of all ages and stages in life and is particularly interested in working with them on attachment and trauma-related concerns. She practices with a collaborative therapeutic approach of trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approach.
Jami is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology and her master’s degree in social work from Samford University.
Jami is excited to be a part of Pathways and hopes to work with individuals, couples, and families in building a healthier and joyful life through attentiveness and meaningful relationships.
