MOLLIE Park
THERAPIST IN BIRMINGHAM & JASPER // LICSW
Mollie Park works with children, adults, couples, and families as they navigate and process some of the most challenging experiences of their lives. Mollie strives to create a supportive and calming environment while being a safe and secure base for clients to process their most vulnerable memories. She believes that there is much healing that comes when we live in community with others and share our stories, just as Jesus demonstrated while on Earth. Mollie counsels from a trauma informed approach and works with clients who are navigating a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, traumatic events, and foster and adoption-related issues.
Mollie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Supervisor (LICSW-S). She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Mississippi College and her master’s degree in social work from The University of Alabama. She has earned a certificate in C.A.S.E Training for Adoption Competency and is trained in Theraplay Level 1. She is passionate about helping those who have been adopted understand and process their story, as well as assisting adoptive and foster families through parent education. In addition, Mollie is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Working with clients who have experienced complex trauma and helping them find healing is one of Mollie’s greatest strengths.
Prior to joining the Pathways team, Mollie worked in a variety of areas and focuses including the school system, kinship care, therapeutic foster care, and adoption. Her work with children, families, individuals, and couples enlightened her to the reality that everyone struggles and needs help along their journey through life. She is excited that Pathways gives her the opportunity to be a support and comfort to others.
